This beer was brewed for the tv show "Brew Dogs". Coconut and cane sugar were used as adjuncts, and hot lava rocks were dropped in the boil to directly heat the wort for 45-minutes, using a Maillard reaction to give the beer a really pleasant caramelly, toasted marshmallow flavor. Coconut was also used in secondary fermentation, giving the beer a pronounced coconut flavor, and really complimenting the toasty notes.

Sample at Denver Rare Beer Tasting VI on 10/03/2014. Clear golden color with a medium thin white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Strings of lacing. Aroma of fruit, malt and coconut. Medium-bodied with flavors of citrusy hops, apple, malt and coconut. The finish is fruity with a mild coconut aftertaste. Above average overall.
