Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured an orange-brown color with a large foamy beige head that left decent lacing. The aroma was faint overall with hints of caramel, wood and fruit. The flavor was slightly bitter and vaguely fruity with touches of nut, cracker and wood. Medium length woody finish that turns a bit dry. Medium body. Meh.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer pours a dark brownish-amber color with a medium creamy off-white head that diminishes slowly. Rings of lacing. Aroma of caramel, earthy malt and fruit. Medium body with flavors of peaty malt, caramel and a distinct smoky note. Some hops in the background too. Smoked malt aftertaste lingers. Decent overall.
