Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark copper-bronze color with a medium sized foamy off white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was strong pine and resin with a light caramel undertone. The flavor was boozy and rough with strong pine and resin and faint caramel and butterscotch. The finish was long and tangy with lingering pine and resin. Full bodied. Solid.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a clear lustrous orange color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Top ring of lacing on the glass with spots underneath. Citrusy hops in the nose along with malt. Medium body with a mildly hoppy character and notes of grapefruit and malt. The finish is hoppy and short, with a bit of fruit left behind. Decent overall.
