Cask at the brewpub, served in a snifter. The beer is a dark reddish-orange color with a minimal off-white head that disappears almost immediately. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of dark fruit, caramel and oak. Rich, syrupy body with flavors of sherry, raisins, caramel malt and more oak. The finish is chewy and boozy with earthy malt and dark fruit left behind. Pretty good beer overall, one of the better ones to come out of this establishment.
