Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a deep brown with a full 2 fingers of beige foam that linger. Nutella forward nose, with roasted coffee and cocoa powder as it warms. Slightly watery mouthfeel. Roasted coffee, cocoa dominate the palate. Very dry, baker's chocolate finish that lingers.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 11/9/2017. Pours hazy opaque dark brown/black color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light khaki head with solid retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Slight spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big hazelnut, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, vanilla, cream, toffee, fudge, brown sugar, and toasted dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of smoke, char, pepper, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malts, hazelnut, lactose, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of hazelnut, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, vanilla, cream, toffee, fudge, brown sugar, and toasted dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of smoke, char, pepper, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate roast/char and herbal/peppery hop bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of hazelnut, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, vanilla, cream, toffee, fudge, brown sugar, toasted dark/brown bread, smoke, char, herbal, pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, hazelnut, lactose, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a good roast/hop bitter/sweet balance. Light lingering acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and fairly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is good. Zero warming alcohol for 6%. Overall this is a very nice flavored milk stout. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, hazelnut, lactose, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; smooth and easy to drink, though a bit rough on the finish from bitterness. Very rich and complex for the ABV. Well balanced hazelnuts and classic milk stout flavors. Just a bit too bitter/hoppy than I'd prefer. A very enjoyable offering, and nice style example.

Sampled on draft at Champs in Altoona this beer poured black color with a medium sized foamy dark brown head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet and toasty with chocolate syrup and hazelnut. The flavor was sweet with strong cocoa powder, hazelnut, toasty malts and marshmallow. Very long finish. Moderately full bodied and smooth. Outstanding

Draft. A- Nutty, roasty. A- Black color, dark liquid, tan head. T- Nutty, roasty, dry. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, dry finish. O- I still think Knee Deep is a bit overrated and have yet to be super impressed. This was the best I've had yet though. More of a dry stout than a sweet stout. No sweetness at all.

From a 468ml can on 17/9/2017 (shared by Butz with thanks). Pours a dark brown with a medium head. Has a strong hazelnut chocolate nose. Hazelnut and chocolate are repeat in spades in the mouth, making the claim of a Nutella like stout pretty much spot on. Finishes with a modest roasty bitterness. Nicely done.

Sweet without being indulgent, offering an easygoing milk chocolate center packed with hazelnut. Caramel and hints of vanilla pop up on the back end, but the nuttiness dominates the semidry, hop-tinged finish. Creamy (if a bit watery). Nice.
