The oyster bar is a New England staple, and few do it better than Eventide. With their original location in Portland, ME and a counter-service outpost near our new Fenway taproom, we've admired and enjoyed their James Beard Award-winning approach to fresh, local shellfish for years. When it came time to join forces, we knew that oysters would be involved, but rather than designing a more well-trodden oyster stout recipe, we envisioned a beer that would be the ideal complement to slurping a dozen on the half shell. Clockwise Lemon is a Gose brewed with sea salt, freshly-zested lemon and of course…oysters, which contribute an underlying brackish element reminiscent of the sea. Pouring a glowing orange with soft haze, aromas of lemon peel and biscuity malt greet the palate. With a gentle acidity and balanced salinity, each sip of Clockwise Lemon finishes fresh and lively.
