Specially selected for my 1000th rate. Swap from a friend. Has a strange aroma of wet earth mixed with chocolate and a hint of lime. Pours a murky reddish brown with a small beige head. Quite a melange of flavours in the mouth, oranges. Chocolate, roasted malts and tropical fruits. Sweet malts and caramel come through later, after the initial bitterness has subsided. Finish is dry and treacly. Nice and hides it’s strength well, but not as sublime as I was expecting.
