Cask at Poste of Stone, Stone A bit of a strange one this. You keep writing it off as the epitome of blandness, then you take another sip and discover hidden subtleties. Anyway, it pours a clear greenish yellow with a small white head. A vaguely biscuity nose. In the mouth it starts off as smooth creamy and bland . Then a while later (says 15 seconds) the hops start to kick in. You think it’s watery to start off with but then you notice the apples. Similarly the finish is hoppy but blends into cherries later. As my dad used to say about wines “second glass is better than the first” !
