A straightforward ale, golden in colour. Inspired by the traditional Kolsch of our German brewer’s hometown. True to style with faint fruity esters and a solid Pilsner backbone. Just enough hops to keep the sweetness in check. Summed up in four words. Crushable, Balanced and Crushable.

Tap at the Freehouse, Singapore. Poured a clear golden colour with a thin broken white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is malt, dry yeast, dry woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light, crisp, malt, yeasty, floral dry hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Not a Kolsch as I know it. The yeasty bitterness was a little Saison like and I’m not a fan.
