IPA - Imperial New England / Hazy Regular
Score
7.07
ABV: 8.0% IBU: - Ticks: 1
Offering the same relatively light and exceedingly juicy body as the prior releases from the series, this double IPA packs a tropical punch with it's predominate use of Southern Hemisphere hops. Intense aromas of fresh melon, pineapple, mango, and slight coconut escapes each glass, complimented by tasting notes with the same split.

Fairly hazy golden and peach coloured body with a thinnish off-white head that fades pretty quickly and leaves a thin lace on the sides. Aroma of bright oranges and peaches with a lot of lactose, cream, malt and apricots all noticeable, but the sweetness here is pretty strong, in the nose at least. Medium to almost Full-bodied; Very rich creamy, lactosey and malty flavours show at first with some peaches, apricots, plums and full oranges along with a big malt/wheat kick that creates a big body, but the lactose and additional icing sugar here makes this very rich and strong, especially with the fruity notes as well. Aftertaste is pretty robust and complex, especially for the style with a lot of the fruits roaming around, but the additional sugars give this a more rounded and deeper edge with some alcohol noticeable and a full-bodied finish. Overall, a pretty nice, still slightly bitter, but super fruity and super sweet, rich IPA that actually does show with Imperial status, even at a lower ABV. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Wegman's in Alexandria, Virginia on 29-November-2021 for US$1,99 (as part of a mixed six pack), sampled in my hotel room here in New York, New York after a month of not drinking anything. Sampled as Beer 4265/6000 of some sort.
