Pours amber, large sudsy head.Subtle aroma of spicy and grassy hops, some light malt with a hint of honey.Flavours include aggressive spicy and grassy hops, a bit of a herbal and earthy hop note too. Assertive bitterness in the finish emphasised by very restrained malt presence.

On tap at bar (back in Feb 2018). Golden and fizzy. Almost straw nose with stone fruit. A lot of bitterness for a pale with not quite enough of a malt backbone to carry it off.

Tap at the Royston Hotel, Melbourne. Poured a clear golden colour with a bubbly round head and plenty of bubbles. The aroma is malt, light citrus woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a dry malt, slightly watery, big woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to lively carbonation. Very bitter and a little one dimensional.
