In 2018 Southwark Brewing Company collaborated with Portobello Brewery to explore the brewing of a Pilsner craft lager beer. The result is a traditional lager in the pilsner style which takes time to craft.
Long, cold fermentation and maturation with speciality yeast delivers a beer that’s balanced, well rounded and crisp.

Keg at the brewery. Clear gold. Translucent white head retreats to the rim. Slightly sour. Citrusy. Over doughy malts. Slightly metallic edge. Light. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Pleasent Pils, but too pleasant.
