The aromas of cherry, chocolate, and herbal spice emitted from this mahogany lager are rich yet soft. Flavors of bread crust, cocoa powder, and tobacco ride the medium body through to the dry, and slightly bitter finish. A lovely drink for late winter through spring.

Can to lager glass.
Appearance: dark brown with some light red hues along the sides of the glass but looks closer to black in the glass.
Aroma: cocoa powder, dark roasted tones, slight black coffee, dark breadiness and sweet earthiness
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to bitter to roasty quality with a dry finish of the cocoa powder and earthiness
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; light smoothness but also some dryness gripping to the tongue
Overall: pretty nicely done dark lager I could return to.

On tap at River Road tavern
Pours a dark brown with ruby at the edges and a small tan head that slowly dissipates.
Bready toasty with hints of chocolate and earthy hops to counter. Pretty good.
