Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a black color with a medium sized soapy tan head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was dry, woody and roasty with moderate cocoa and floral hops. The flavor was dry and roasty vanilla, cocoa and floral hops. The finish was long with vanilla, cocoa and hops lingering. Moderately full bodied. Solid but a bit dry for my taste.
