In a city known for its champions, the 1924 Monarchs were Kansas City's first. The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the historic first Negro Leagues World Series in 1924, in which the Kansas City Monarchs reigned supreme after a 10-game series.
