This is where it all began... a garage in New Zealand, some local hops, a small cobbled together kit and against all odds an icon was born. Those same hops, Nelson Sauvin and Motueka are still present and correct in this, our love letter to the land of the long white cloud. NZ hops are characterised by their delicate citrus, fruit and floral notes, particularly the gooseberry, peach and white wine flavours of Nelson Sauvin. To match this we use a light malt bill with a decent amount of oats and wheat to create texture and mouthfeel. It’s the sort of beer that will make you want to abscond to the shores of the South Island never to return.

White creamy head stayed on a translucent, still light golden body. Tropical Fruits, bitter pith, hops & peach aroma. Medium bodied, smooth on the palate - sharp on the back. Dry Plenty of bitter citrus, grapefruit, rind & grass tastes with a long bitter finish.

330ml bottle: BBD 17th May 2018. Poured into a ’Good People’ US 16oz straight sided glass at home on 8th Aug 2017. Cloudy golden body, full white head. The nose holds tropical fruit esters with a citrus leaning, the taste similar but with a spicy and yeasty twist, there is a semi-sourness towards the finish also.

Clear, golden colored, medium white frothy head, nice lacing. Aroma is of moderate tropical fruit, peach, some floral and light citrus, pale malt. Taste is medium- sweet pale malt, light caramel and biscuit, moderate tropical fruity, peachy, floral and some citrus notes, medium- bitterness, dryish finish. Medium- bodied, soft carbonation, bit oily. Clean profile, a bit weakish but OK. (bottle, Utobeer, London)

33cl bottle. Tack Adam. Pours golden clear color with a thin white head. Aroma has vegetable notes, hops, ripe fruits. Not the best aroma. Lemony, citric fruity hoppy flavors. Better flavor than aroma. Slight disappointment.
