When in season, the Devil's Tree, or Blackboard Tree send their pleasant and candy-like aroma greeting the passersby. We liked the smell, and made this sweet beer with lactose sugar and roasted ginger to match it.
We are sure this is what Alice had in her tea at the Mad Hatter.

Tap at the Hanoi brewpub. Poured a clear dark copper colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is dry toffee caramel malt, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter light sweet with soft warm, rich, malt, light resin, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
