A traditional German style Dunkelweizen, which translates to dark wheat. Think of this as a cousin of Hefeweizen but with dark malt. Brewed with a base of German Munich malt and three types of wheat malt, including chocolate wheat and fermented with a classic Bavarian strain of Hefeweizen yeast. Hopped with the German noble hop Tettnang. This not so popular style is perfect to sip on in the colder months when Hefeweizens aren’t in season. Notes of chocolate covered bananas, caramel, and ripe plums.
