Pinecone is an ode to some of the classic West Coast style pale ales we all know and reminisce about, but with the earthy addition of rye malt. It starts with a base of Pilsner and Vienna malt with the addition of a few different varieties of rye malt. This beer was heavily hopped during the boil with Simcoe and Amarillo and then dry hopped with the same. The result is a dry but refreshing pale ale with a smooth mouthfeel and a touch of earthy spice and welcome bitterness. Notes of lemon balm, citrus peel, and pine.
