Cask at Pickled Pig, Stafford (not listed in Brewver). Pours classic โbitter brownโ with a small scummy off-white head and good lacing. The aroma is basically hops and malts with just a trace of butter. In the mouth it fluctuates between bitter and sweet. Flavour has traditional hops, caramel and malts with hints of ginger and spice. Finish is slightly dry and leaning more towards bitterness. This is a decent standard bitter.

Can split at the Birmingham Brewing Co taproom, 18/02/23. Amber pour with an off white cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is biscuit, light fruit twang, brown bread, herb. Taste comprises biscuit malt, hedgerow, herb, grains, earthy fruit dusting. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Passable bitter.

Panda courtesy of Theydon_Bois, cheers Colin! Gluten Free. Amber gold colour, white foamy head and aroma of biscuity malt, caramel, fruit. Taste is malty, caramel, fruity, with some earthy nutty bitterness. Light bodied, soft carbonation, malty drying bitter finish. Quite OK

Can at the source. A hazed reddish amber coloured pour with a loose beige cap. Aroma is nutty malts, waxy, grass, dried fruits, hazelnut. Flavour is composed of semi sweet toasted malts, nutty toast, twig, chalky finish, dried fruits. Palate is drying chalky finish. Mineral finish.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Cotteridge Wines. Pours clear copper with a frothy, off-white head. Lightly sweet with soft leafy bitterness, toasted grains. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. A little bland in the finish, more leafy hops, vague berries and toasted malts. OK overall.

330ml can from brewery. Dark clear amber-brown, small beige head, thin retention. Aroma of caramel, stone fruits, berries, liquorice. Taste is malty but some decent hops, caramel, light fruity, semi-sweet, moderate bitterness. Light to moderate body. Very refreshing and sessionable, should be in a 440ml can but maybe for the sake of my waistline its a good thing its not!
