We used our clasic techniques of double decoction, open fementation and extended conditioning in horizontal lagering tanks, along with classic ingredient of Czech floor malted barley and Sladeck hops. But we femented this beer with a yeast strain once used (and no longer used) by the original Pilsner brewer. It's an execise to show the importance of a yeast strain on the flavor profile of beer, espeically something as delicate as a pale lager.
