Common Grain is a genuine regional beer that celebrates the grain breeders, dedicated farmers, craft maltsters, and truly local brewers advancing the Mid-Atlantic grain movement.
We brewed this beer to highlight the Mid-Atlantic Grain Fair on March 16th, hosted by Common Grain Alliance at Wheatland Spring.
The grist is a rich medley of Virginia and Pennsylvania craft malt, showcasing the wonderful depth of flavor possible from small farms and artisanal malting. Focused flavors of freshly baked bread crust and toasted nuts drizzled in caramel are combined with classic U.S. floral hops to create a wonderfully balanced beer. Imagine a full flavored Kellerbier that’s been reimagined using the highest quality local malt to create a flavor all its own.

Can, at the March 2025 DCBeer share. Poured a msotly clear, dark orange color with a small amount of rust, with a white head. Aroma was toasted malts, grain. Light grass, with some crispness to it. Realy pleasant, drinkable stuff.
