Roasty, dark and rich this beer is inspired by the once common porters of the 19th Century. A full bodied backbone of Chevalier malt supports strong and lingering roasted flavours from the malt and high hopping rates characteristic of the time.

Canned, shared with Luka, MiroB, kajser27, Cvrle. Black with beige head. Lots of roastiness, chocolate, touch of coffee, quite dry with bitterness in finish. Medium bodied.

Can at ash's. Pours black, nose is burnt, roasted, liquorice, brown bread, taste is roasted, toffee, bready, liquorice. 8/7/7/6/7

Can from Cork & Cask. Black body with a thin beige head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate, espresso and toasted rye bread. Flavour of cigar, dark chocolate and blackcurrant. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Dark and very roasted.

Appearance - mat black with a thin cream coloured head.
Nose - roast, chocolate cereal.
Taste - bitter coffee, dry roast and chocolate cereal again.
Palate - medium bodied and roast finish.
Overall - good.

Can thanks to Ashton McCobb. Pours black with a thin beige head. Aromas of coffee and chocolate. Taste is roasty, coffee grounds. Coffee, earthy linger.
