Glorious and Free is a Trans-Canada brewery collaboration project conceived and launched by Ottawa’s Dominion City Brewing Co., in partnership with beer makers from coast to coast to coast.
We’re excited to join with independent breweries from coast to coast to coast to create a truly Canadian beer, working with local producers and in support of our communities at this critical time. Here at Forked River Brewing Company, we used the “Modern Pilsner” malt from Innomalt (https://www.innomalt.ca); we used Centennial, Cascade and Chinook hops from Backroads Hops Farm (https://backroadshops.com/ ); and we used yeast from Yeast Canada Innovations (https://yeastcanada.com/).
The Modern Pilsner malt gives a crisp mouthfeel, double dry-hopped with locally-grown hops and fermented cold with Einstein lager yeast from Yeast Canada Innovations.
