Imperial Stout Brewed with Coffee
One of our most coveted Nietzschean narratives, Genealogy of Morals, inspires our bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout of the same name. We present to you the opportunity to enjoy the non barrel-aged base beer, simply named Genealogy, brewed with malted wheat and locally-roasted coffee, then conditioned in stainless steel. Dark, rich and smooth, its complex flavors belie the singular vision with which we create it—echoing the work that inspires it.This is the the non barrel-aged version of Genealogy of Morals, conditioned in stainless steel. Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Very black, no head. Coffee dominates the nose. Sweet and syrupy, ful bodied with clean, rounded mouthfeel, Quite hard anbd barren, the coffee and licorice flavours seemed wrapped in plastic foil. Long warming bitter finish. Average imperial stout.

200ml, on tap at Mikkeller Bar. Declining, fawn-coloured head. Deep, near-black body. Fine rounded aroma of coffee malts and dried fruits, smooth roastiness. Dark malts including chocolate and coffee, in flavour supported by dried fruits. Mild bitter ending with a modest touch of spices. Perfect as a nightcap (Copenhagen, 27.05.2011).

Black with a small tan head. Aroma of licorice, roast malt and lots of hops, with a touch of smoke. and a hint of pepper and herbs. Sweetish dark malt flavour with licorice notes, a bit of spice and a nice hop flavour. Maybe a tad too sweet after a few sips
