This brew is a giant. It has a massive malt backbone and pours a rich copper color. Notes of dark fruit, aged cognac, and roasted cacao dominate the flavor profile, with citrusy American hops providing balance. As of May 2017 this beer has been brewed just twice.
The second version was 12.5%. Generally called just "Barleywine" in the bars.

Poured at Shelton Festival, cloudy copper with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is caramel, dark fruit, candi sugar. Medium body, boozy, wood, caramel, spice, very good.

Tap at Mikkeller Bangkok. 12.5%. Poured a clear dark brown with a round off white head. The aroma is malt, molasses, alcohol, liqourice. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a rich liqourice alcoholic palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Pretty awful as far as Barley Wines go. Absolutely no sweetness at all. Rather like a dry porter gone wrong.
