This dark ruby premium ale is all about the malt, and we’ve packed a lot into this brew. It’s nutty, it’s malty and full of body. An old school strong English bitter.

Cask-conditioned at the White Lion, Bristol 23/10/09. Deep brown with a slight, off-white head. Malty chocolate and earthy hop aroma. Flavour had some sweetness, tonnes more earthiness and a bitter finish. Good.

Handpull at Reading BF 2007. Bottled bright and drunk in the B&B. Very dark brown, thin beige head. Malty. Bit rubbery actually on the aroma. Some choc, it’s an alright malty strongish bitter. Choc is ok.

Cask. Japan Great Beer Festival 2006. Dark amber color, no head. Mildly hoppy nose. Mildly hoppy mouth a touch of this a touch of that. Like too many British bitters. Just boring.

Sampled cask conditioned at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, Sweden.
Deep amber. Fruity, flowery aroma with intense hoppiness. Sweetish and nutty with bold, malty mouthfeel, Resiny, bitter finish.
