This dark ruby premium ale is all about the malt, and we’ve packed a lot into this brew. It’s nutty, it’s malty and full of body. An old school strong English bitter.

Half pint, cask, in a mug at Wm Hawkes. Dark ruby-brown body. Firm lacework from a tiny fawn-coloured head. Sweet roasted smell of caramel malts. Brittle caramel, nuts and brown sugar to the taste buds. Mid-sweet malty ending. Medium bodied. Nice (shared with Finn, Hull 26.11.2015).

Fra cask på WM Hawkes Hull 26 Nov 15. Delt med Rune. Ultramørk amber. Lavt skum med litt farge. Tykk lacing. Karamellaroma. Smaken lett røstet. Balansert. Bra - men mangler variasjon.

9th April 2015: gravity pour at the Isle of Man CAMRA beer festival. Brown hue to the body colour, off-white head. Malty lead with hedgerow fruits second in both the aroma and taste. No walnuts in my brew but woody notes in the dry finish.
