Lapland Original Lagerin vaiherikas tarina on vailla vertaansa. 60-luvulla Tornion panimomestarit saivat tehtäväkseen suunnitella oluen, josta kasvoi Suomen kaikkien aikojen tunnetuin. Nousukauden aikana legendaarisen oluen resepti ja valmistusprosessi muuttuivat. Suosikkioluesta katosi tuttu maku. Kansainvälisen omistajan myötä tuotanto siirtyi etelään ja aiheutti lopulta panimon sulkemisen.
Takaiskusta selvittyään pohjoisen asukkaat polkaisivat hommat uudelleen käyntiin vuonna 2016. Joukkoon liittyi myös panimomestarilegenda Leo Andelin – takataskussaan suosikkioluen alkuperäinen resepti. Näin henkiin heräsi paitsi historiallinen panimo myös kuuluisa kultamitaliolut, joka sai uuden nimen Lapland Original Lager.
Toisinaan pienten pitää tehdä suuria tekoja, jotta perinteet säilyvät ja Suomi saa nauttia hyvää olutta.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a unclear to golden with a frothy creamy white head. Aroma is malty, light fruit, aloe. Taste is malty, light citrus tingle, bitterness, grassy.

11/4/2020. Bottle courtesy of Nisse666, cheers Mr Thomas. Pours bright golden with a lasting creamy white head. Aroma of malt, corn, bread, light hops and grass. Medium sweetness with moderate and slightly metallic bitterness. Moderate body, light creamy texture, average to soft carbonation. Quite acceptable in the Easter holiday sunshine.

50 cl can @ Kissasauna Aroma has sweet malt, honey and grain. Flavour has malt, grain, mild grassy hops and grain. A solid malty lager. A lot better than the original Lapin Kulta. I'm pretty sure that they didn't use starch malt here.

Bottle at home, Nivala. Enjoyed straight from the bottle. Aromas and flavours: Grain, some distant hints of hops and malts. Decent and surprisingly tasty.

50cl can. Poured clear golden color with a thin white head. Malty, sone sweetness, muld hops and grains. Medium bodied, malty finish. Clean ok lager.
