WEST COAST PALE ALE. Bright citrus, tropical fruit, and pine notes from Idaho 7 and El Dorado hops, with a clean, dry finish and balanced bitterness.

Can bought at The Brewers Tap, Southsea. Based on the artwork, I thought it was an Elusive beer. Opaque amber. Frothy foamy white head. Aroma is resinous, almost medicinal. Underlying malts and a floral edge. Bitter. Resinous. Although this is initially preceded by a sweet jammy fruit intro. Underlying malty hints. Peripheral spice and nettles. However there's also a watered-down feeling to the flavour for me. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Nice but drops points.
