Rerate from keg at William K, kurvi. 27.6.2018. 12%. Poured pitch black with a thin brown head. Cinnamon, vanilla, chocolate and roastedness. Sweet chocolate, cinnamon, malts and vanilla. Smooth, soft, full bodied. Excellent.
33cl bottle @Brewdog helsinki. Pours black color with a thin brown head. Aroma has vanilla, coffee, salty notes, nuts. Flavor has cocoa, coffee, salt, vanilla. Smooth, slightly woody finish. Balanced completely hidden. Yet feels very light and not sweet at all. 747415

Bottle share. Cotteridge Beano v2. Nearly black. Bubbly, tan head, that thins and lasts. Wow! Nose is huge chewy toffee. Rich chocolate. Treacle. Soy. Gravy. Huge, sweet, charred wood. Fudge. Taste is rich, chocolatey sweet. Charred wood dry and bitterness with a rich, fudgy mouthfeel. Slick and treacly. All which makes me wonder why my notes show I gave it a 3.9?Maybe at the end of a big tasting session it felt too rich and slick? Definitely one I’d like to try again, to see.

[5/13/16] Draught sample at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2016. Blue session. Black with a tan head. Big coffee aroma, a bit vegetal, with roast and some chocolate. Sweetish-bitterish and slightly sourish flavor with roast and lots of coffee beans. Full-bodied.

Bottle at KØ16. Mild vanilla aroma. Black colour, seems clear. Small light brown head. The flavour also has a good vanilla note, some toffee or caramel and a faint perfumy note. Late warming alcohol and roast barley bitterness. An odd beer but very good. 8 4 8 4 19 Can, 12%. Distinct tonka aroma. Black colour. Small brown head. The flavour is very sweet. It has notes of white sugar, marzipan, tonka. I cannot taste any alcohol or anything else apart from sugar for that matter. 8 4 8 4 19

Bottle at Beer Hunters. Opaque black color, small steady brownish head. Very intensive strong fruit cake, spicey aroma. Medium-bodied to full-bodied. Flavor has also lots of fruit cake, cocoa, chocolate. Sweetish but not overly sweet. Shows amazingly little its abv. Good dessert beer.

FAt CBC-16. En riktigt rejäl fullpackad IS. Mycket rostad kokos, choklad, kaffe, lakrits, väl, nästan kärvt rostad malt men också lite fruktighet med björnbär och mörka plommon. Riktigt gott.
