Beautiful red colour, medium bodied ale. Fine bitterness and refreshing scent of citrus from hops. 2018 New York International Beer Competition GOLD AWARD.

Clear copper with little brown head. Aroma is lots of tropic fruit and grass and some malty bread. Taste is fresh citrussy sourness with some hoppy bitterness. A little dust in the finish but more of the aroma hops. Still good.

35cl can from somewhere in Japan. Pours clear dark caramel brown with a fluffy, but fairly fast dissipating head. Malty and caramelly with mild roasty notes. Fairly sweet and malty, but a fairly nice bitterness in the finish. Quite okay!

Some Japanese store: Pours amber with a whitish head. Aroma is light caramel and mediocre amber ale smell (if you know, then you know, if not, then you don’t). Taste is old caramel and some nondescript bitterness. Sugary aftertaste. Very mediocre.

Can from Daiei in Himonya. Drank from the can. Light resiny pine aromas with faint caramel syrup. Thin body with a watery mouthfeel. Average carbonation. Resin, piney flavors are faint but noticeable, also some grapefruit and a weird cardboard caramel that reminds me of a macro lager. Clean finish that is lightly dry. Refreshing I guess, but not much malt or hop character noticeable. Pretty bland.

Can from Yamaya, Hitachinaka, Ibaraki, Japan. An amber/red coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Sweet, malty, caramel aroma. Tastes similar, sweet, malty, caramel, slight hoppiness. I quite enjoyed this one.

12 oz bottle poured. Pours a burnt orange with a foam head. Malty aroma. This is pretty good. Nice malty flavor with hop hints to it. Caramel finish, and a tiny bit sweet. Overall I liked this.

Can from citysuper at IFC. Tastes a bit generically hoppy with some sweet malts. Slightly roasted flavor too. So so.

12oz bottle at Kushi DC. Pours a clear, brick red with some spitty white head. Nose is standard, malt, cracker, a little plum, mild caramel, mild orange. Flavor is the same, malty, sweet, plum, a little brown rice, some orange. Clean finish. Average amber.
