Pencil shavings, pecan nose. Cloudy brown, medium tan head, nice lace. Pecan and brown sugar, subtle coffee finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation. I hoped for a more prominent hop presence.

12 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, resinous hops and a hint of roast. Flavour is along the same lines, with a decent balance of toasted malt and faded resinous hops. Doesn't seem fresh. Okay balanced but nothing special.

On cask at the brewpub it is a clear amber color with a slight head. The aroma is citrus and the taste is very citrusy which lingers on the palate

On cask in the the tap room at the brewery in St. Louis. Pours a clear cola brown with an off white head. Malty nose with some fruity hop notes. Mellow mouthfeel and finish.

Pour is a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is pine hops and lots of them. Flavor starts out with a decent amount of hops then follows a nice chocolate malt to round things out. Very different but it works.
