Bavarian style Hefeweisse made with German floor-malted bohemian white wheat and pilsner malts. We use Hallertau Mittlefruh hops for bittering and flavor. FreshWeizen is fermented with the same variety of yeast as used in the hefeweisse made by the oldest brewery in the world, Weihenstephaner. This beer pours bright yellow and hazy. Aroma is banana and clove. Flavor is bright and tart with great wheat character. Lemon and citrus notes balance the unique flavor of the traditional hefeweisse yeast. This beer has a light body and is highly carbonated for a crisp and refreshing effervescence.
