Aurora is a 6.7% ABV red rye IPA loaded with Equinox, Centennial, Motueka, and Experimental Hop 07270. This pungent, complex IPA marries the spicy malt character of rye with the fruity dankness of new wave American & New Zealand hops. Aurora pours a gorgeous ruby red, making it the perfect IPA for Fall (if it ever comes to San Diego).

Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a nice clear copper body that supports an off white head that leaves behind some cobweby lacing. The aroma offers up some spicy onion, grapefruit, tangelo and a resiny note that’s feeling almost pine hop like. The taste starts right off with a bold and rich mix of bitter grapefruit and tangelo citrus hops that are both juicy and resiny. To midway it picks up a rye bread twang and then dries out just a bit into the finish. Solid hoppy brew.

Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours dark copper with a beige head. Aroma is spicy and hoppy - like those are two different things? Well this is a red-rye IPA (check the entry on style! - but I’m reading the label), so ...Pretty near dank on hop, fairly sweet on malt backbone, but it definitely has rye spice. Fruit, citrus, resin, rye - all nicely and firmly present. Good drink.

Bottle. Pours hazy reddish amber with a small tan head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is garlic, onion, herbs, pine and a bit of citrus. Flavor is medium sweet, medium bitter with lots of rye spice and juicy hoppiness. Medium body, oily mouthfeel. Well balanced. I really resonated with this one. Nice Job MT!
