First brewed as a love letter by Steam Machine's Nick to his Turkish wife - and the brewery's co-founder - Gulen.
When realising that Turkey had no native beer styles, Nick set out to amend that with several creations. This was the first...
A decadent milk stout, compounded with real cacao, and authentic rose oil, to provide the luxurious taste of Turkish Delight.
Originally released for Darlington Beer Festival, and the first beer to sell out there

Bottle from the Fellowship of Beer. Pours cola brown opaque. Thin foamy beige head disappears almost instantly. Aroma has cacao and a rose sweetness but the core is bitter coffee and liqourice. Flavourwise it's sweeter than the aroma suggested it would be. Molasses and floral notes. Develops a cacao and espresso bitterness. More floral/fruity than bitter but not overly sweet or perfumed. Light-medium at best. Slick. Very thin for the style. Soft-average carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Nice.
