After the fruitfulness of ELVENBERRY, the crispness of DWARVEN FORGE and the lightness of WHITE TREE PALE, the fourth release of our Lord of the Rings series has arrived by popular demand, because without the darkness of MORDOR, the adventure would not be complete...
Where the ashes rise to the sky, this black IPA is born. Inspired by the gloomy land of Mordor, where darkness meets fire. Deep tones of crisp malts merge with the ferociously pungent bite of hops - earthy, resinous and citrusy notes, as if forged by Sauron himself. One sip and you know there's no turning back

Sample, thanks fonefan! Black, small head. Aroma of licorice and coffee. Mid dry with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Coffee and slight black currant. Mid bitter finish.

From tap at TETŐ by Mad Scientist, Budapest, 19.09.25. Ebony. Dense and fairly persistent brown head and lacing. Fine and well-balanced aroma and taste of grapefruit, pine, dark chocolate and espresso. Good!

Canned 330ml. -from Tolkien's Zagreb, shared with Marko. Blackish coloured, medium sized pale beige head, weak roasty nose. Caramel, brown sugar, light chocolate and touch of dried fruits in the finish. Bit messy.

Can from Tolkien's, thx Ogi for sharing it! Very dark brown, blackish body, off-white head. Brown sugar maltiness, light lemon candy and herbal notes. Lean, dry taste, lemony, wormwood, bitterish, bit of chocolate, bit of earth, bit flat too. Not the freshest, but was probably a bit of a classic if watery BIPA even when fresh.

0.33 bottle. As a member of the LOTR series, the magic potion brewed in the night-black mist of Mordor, stored in a beautiful red box, is the next test subject. Filled with a mahogany brown, slightly yellowish head that disappears. Aroma: fruity, hop-based coffee, roasted, dry, cocoa, an interesting, but not strange blend. Medium-bodied, well-carbonated, substantial sip. There is plenty of bitterness in it: in addition to the hop IPA bitterness, the roasted malt brown beer bitterness is also present. Aftertaste and side flavors: dried fruit, raw nuts, coffee, coffee again, floral hops, yeast...you could list more. It turned out to be a delicious, special, interesting beer. Again.

A LOTR sorozat tagjaként Mordor éjfekete ködjében főzött, szép piros dobozban tárolt varázsital a következő tesztalany. Kitöltve mely mahagóni barna , kevéske sárgás habbal, ami elillant. Aroma: gyümölcsös, Komlós alapon kávés, pörkölt, száraz, kakaós érdekes, de mégsem furcsa egyveleg. Közepesen testes, jó szénsavas, tartalmas korty. Keserűség van benne bőven: a komló IPA keserűje mellett a pörkölt maláta barna sörös keserű íze szintén. Utó és mellékízek: aszalt gyümölcs, nyers dió, kávé, megint kávé, virágos komlósság, élesztő...lehetne még sorolni. Finom , különleges, érdekes sör lett. Megint.
