Smoked Seaweed Cider
Lightly effervescent, with a smoked applewood nose and a briny finish, Burning Branches is our newest small-batch cider—crafted in celebration of Maine Seaweed Week. This one’s for the lighthouse keeper, the coastal wanderer, and anyone who’s ever stood on a stormy shoreline and breathed in deep.
We begin with wild, coastal apples—gnarly and salt-kissed—then smoke them overnight over applewood before pressing. Fermented and aged on American oak with native yeasts, the cider is then infused with applewood-smoked dulse from our friends at Maine Coast Sea Vegetables.
The result: a golden, smoky, sea-sprayed elixir, alive with the taste of DownEast Maine. The lighthouse keeper drinks his straight—but some folks blend it with seltzer or add a shot of our house-made Pommeau for a deeper, richer sip.
