Nice subtle flavours of honey, lemon and stone fruit waft up from the glass through a pleasant, bubbly head. It’s suprisingly hopped on drinking, almost overly so for a golden ale, but I ain’t complaining. There’s a chewy nougat mouthfeel coming from the malt and it’s got a reasonable length. A very good surprise packet.

(on tap) Clear pale gold with good white head. Lovely floral and orange aroma. Light body with medium fizzy carbonation. Flavour has a pleasant sweet and fruity start then develops some nice tasty hoppy notes leading to some satisfying if gentle bitterness in the finish. Overall very impressive.

Pours amber with a small head.Nose shows caramel and faint nutty notes alongside soft floral hints.Flavours perfectly mirror the aromas, more caramel dominating. Rather sweet.Could use a lighter body.Nice but too sweet.

From a 330ml bottle on 11/11/2011. Pours a clear golden with a fast disappearing head. Has a very slight aroma of grass and citrus fruit. In terms of flavour, you get some light tropical fruit notes and a modest bitterness. Relatively pleasant and would be good for a session.

Bottle. Clear gold with an inch of white head that fades to a coat. Fruity aroma has light tropical and stone fruits, lemon, light spices. Very slightly sweet with oranges and a touch of honey, dry crisp finish. Good summery quaffer.
