Can from the San Mateo brewpub. Aroma is dank, orange and grapefruit. This smells more like the classic Simcoe and Amarillo blend to me....my favorite combination!! Appearance is murky sunset orange in the middle with honeycomb on the edges. Pristine white head that is creamy and leaves a collar of small and medium bubbles. Amazing patterns down the glass. Flavor is overt orange and cantaloupe. A bit bready in the finish. Sweet and juicy mouthfeel is well rounded with a moderate-low bitter finish to give a flash to the West Cost. FWIW - my wife....who always gets cat piss on Simcoe...did not get it here. I didn't either, but she is the authority on Simcoe's cattiness!! Fantastic beer!
