Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Changkat, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear copper colour with a frothy white head and a few bubbles. The aroma is doughy, biscuit malt, light floral hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a floral aromatic hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Not bad at all for a lager. Not so light, plenty of flavour and no metallic notes. I do believe I’d actually order another!

Whole Foods growler pours clear copper with gold hues and short lived off white head. The aroma offers up some bready malts, a touch of cherry like fruity esters and faint vague malts. The taste has a pleasing level of spicy to floral hop bitterness and it rolls slowly into a thin ring of grainy malts. Darn, this is a real tasty lager. It picks up modest cereal notes as well as a nice citrus lime like hop sensation that carries it into the finish. It is 105F out right now and this is hitting the spot. Well done.

Draft at Alchemy. Orange-brown with a thin off-white head. Malty and subdued, nails the style. Sweet, doughy lager tones. Mild hop bite fades out quickly, just enough to add some mouthfeel and balance. Very bready. Quality beer, perhaps outclassing most German examples.

Tap at the brewpub as Hell’s Lager. "Clean, crisp and a slight mineral character, this cold fermented classic is a genuine summer refresher. 5.3% Pours amber witha slight white head. Medium body with mild carbonation. Somewhat bready flavor. Hop is laid back. Finishes moderately bitter, slightly astringent. Fairly tasty.
