Tasmanian leatherwood blossom mead. leatherwood is an intense varietal mead made entirely with Tasmanian leatherwood honey. Leatherwood honey is profoundly aromatic, with notes of eucalyptus, menthol, lemon peel, orchard blossom and flowers of every description. Sweetness is an integral component of this complex and well balanced mead. Simultaneously floral, spicy, fruity and herbal- this mead must be tasted to comprehend.

375 ml bottle. Clear yellow gold pour. Aroma is really quite beyond my ability to describe--it is unique and herbal. Never sensed anything quite like it before. The taste is also quite unusual, complex and herbal. Palate is full. Finishes long and sweet. Overall: I really don't know what the hell I just drank, but I liked it. Its really cool when you taste something that is nothing like anything tasted before--and its good. Bought an extra bottle for the cellar.

Real unique nose and upfront flavor, perfume and flowers, race fuel, barnyards. Real nice sweetness once ingested though, upfront, with an added wacky finish. I'm guessing this is true to the source since tasmanian leatherwood honey is unique and floral.
