Old rating - A 330ml bottle brought back from Western Brittany. Pours dark amber with a white foamy head. Aromas & tastes of fruits, hints of spice & sweet malt. Reasonable triple

7/3/2025. Bottle shared by minutemat, cheers! Pours almost clear amber tan brown with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma is toffee, golden syrup, bready, biscuit, malt, dried fruits, hint of spice. Quite sweet with moderate bitterness and a very slight tart edge. Medium body, soft carbonation. Sweet warming finish, with a slight plastic edge. Not bad.

330ml bottle. Pours a misty amber, off-white head. Aroma has spicy suggestions, amber malt. Quite a spicy triple to taste, could be mistaken for a Christmas beer. Underlying doughy yeast, some grain, moderately sweet profile. Characterful.

Bottle. Pours clear orange, small off white head, sinew lacing. Aroma is odd, perfume, cardamom, oranges, candi sugar. Flavor is fairly sweet, light bitter, sickly. Medium body.

Bottle picked up from a bottle shop in Guerande, consumed at Camping Trezulien, Douarnenez, Brittany, Saturday 17th June 2017 Pours amber with a white head. Malty and with a warmth from the alcohol, some stewed fruits, heavy malt and light hoppiness. Nice softness, smooth. It’s fine. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov13 3.1

Bottle from somewhere in France. The aroma is big yeast, treacle toffee caramel. The flavour is moderate to strong sweet with a wood, resin, alcohol bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle from our kid’s holidays. Pours clear amber, thin white head. Aromas of prunes, red fruit, jammy. Taste is light sweet, boozy, light chalky note. Not bad.
