(Cask at Craft Beer Co St Mary Axe, Aldgate, London, 24 Nov 2017) Golden amber colour with foamy, white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of citrus, orange peel and apricots. Malty, fruity taste with citrus, orange peel, spicy rye flavours and a balanced citric bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Fresh and tasty, with a good rye character. Quite nice.

Cask at the Kings Arms Bethnal Green. It looked good and tasted good, with gentle bitter hops, some malt and a welcome sharpness that I presume was from the grain. Nice, but not memorable.

Cask at the Bootlegger, 29/07/16. Lightly murky pineapple jus yellow to orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is orange pith, apricot, dried grass, toasted grain, light bread. Taste comprises more pithy citrics, straw, tangerine, toasted bread, papaya. Medium body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok but not one I’d revisit given the choice in todays market.
