From tap. Pours hazy dark brown to black with a dmall tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and breadish. Toasted malty, breadish, bitter and toasted malty. Light chocolate note. Mellow and roasted dark malty smooth finish.

Tap at the brewpub. Poured a murky dark brown with a thin broken off white head and lots of broken lace. The aroma is chocolate, coffee, creamy malt. The flavour is moderate sweet with a smoky liqourice hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
