Keg at Birmingham Beer Bash 3; clear light copper pour with a frothy beige head, aroma has spice plus some resinous hop action and a hint of caramel, taste has burnt toast along with some dark fruit action, hint of spruce, caramel, light bitterness.

Bottle. Amber with an off-white head. Aroma of sticky bread crusts with some rye-like spiciness [reads bottle: is rye] and some fruit I can’t quite put my finger on - really ripe loquats? The taste is much spicier than suggested by the aroma, obscuring the bread a bit. The fruit is there and a it’s bit astringent as well as spicy at the finish. Interesting but all that welcoming.

Tap at the Birmingham Beer Bash, 2015. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is resin hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a resin hop bitter, light citrus palate. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation.
