Cask at the Craven Arms; opaque dark brown pour with a creamy light tan head, aroma has roast malts, taste has a hint of pine resin although roast malts dominate, some coffee and chocolate, some dark fruits, decent CDA. --- Beer merged from original tick of Flying Dutchman on 28 Jun 2015 at 13:29 - Score: 7

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7

Cask at the Anchor, Digbeth, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a bubbly light tan head. The aroma is grassy hop, light roasty malt. The flavour is moderate bitter with a smoky roast, burnt treacle, grapefruit citrus hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
