Big brown head. Nearly opaque black body shows hint of red light through. Dusty roasty aroma with mealy notes. Sweet cherry jam taste with spicy roasty notes. Full-bodied. Mild, soft, slightly flat mouthfeel. Sweetish roasty cherry jam aftertaste with dark chocolate and spice notes. Lovely! Very harmonic with excellent concentration and lovely balance. (0.5l bottle, from wine monopoly somewhere near home.)

03.12.2016, 0,5l bottle @ home:
Nice light brown slightly bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is kind of metallic at first, before it fades away after a while, dark malts, dark sugar, berry skin, minerals, roasted grain, grass, toast, hints of red berries and licorice. Taste is slightly sour-ish roasted, weeds, roasted grain, minerals, bark, dark malts, toast, grass, berry skin, dark sugar, hints of red berries and licorice. Medium bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Fair enough.

This was poured into an English pint glass.
The appearance was a pure jet black color with a thin white to off white foamy little head. Lacing slides and just runs right into the beer.
The aroma starts off with some big roasty to robust coffee and cocoa bean tones. Sweet red cherry qualities slide in for a sly underneath.
The flavor leads semi-sweet combination of the cherries to the cocoa bean with a nice roasty underneath. Sly bitterness of the coffee bean. Semi-sticky cocoa bean roast with the black cherries in the aftertaste and the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a decent sessionable to sipping quality about it. Almost feels stout-like due to the weight on my tongue.
Overall, really awesome for what it is and to me, but true Baltic Porter fans may be a bit disappointed with the fact that this one sits a bit heavier than expected. Still, I’d definitely have again for me.

500ml bottle, L677, from Vinmonopolet Aker Brygge. Dissipating tan-coloured head leaving dotted spots on the glassware. Coal black in body appearance. Malt-driven aromas with roasted chocolate and dark bread, hints of cherries. Rich and smooth taste character of dark chocolate, liquorice and coffee added by a delicate cherry bite towards the ending. Fine bodied. Gentle and, again, very smooth. Enjoying (Hotel room, Oslo 10.11.2016).

Bottle at the main DC December Gathering. Poured a dark brown color with a small off white head. aroma was light dark fruits, cherry comes through a lot in this one. Roasted coffee, chocolate. Finish reminds me of a cherry chocolate cake.

Pretty nicely done. Light cherry and good dose of roast. Some chocolate, great overall balance. Pours black with good head and lacing. Bitter and light tangy finish. Nice stuff. Bottle bought from Delaware store.
