Bottle from Salt Horse. Hazy orange body with a dense off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of caramel, wood and melon rind. Flavour of pine, chalky lemon and bitter grass. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. Musty and a bit weird.

Hazy amber - gold beer, good cream colour head. Palate is airy and smooth. Airy palate, semi dry, reasonable carbonation. Smooth malts, mildly sweet, trace of cream. Fair bit of orange peel bitterness. Touch of lemon. Spicy orange and pink grapefruit develops. Fairly bitter finish. Nice.

Bottle from Biernavigatie, BB 01/05/2017, large sample. Almost clear orange to amber color, medium frothy head, lots of debris floating around. Big hoppy aroma, citrus, pineapple, bit pine, slight candy. Medium to high bitterness, pine, grapefruit. Slight caramel sweetness. Wow. Its not even superfresh anymore, but it has so much power still there. Great DIPA, how it should be. The debris in the appearance is the only minor flaw, but who cares when it tastes fantastic.

On keg at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - cloudy amber with a nice fluffy head. Nose - sometime green, then something sweet and jammy. Taste - big marmalade up front. Dry herb finish. A sort of orange liqueur thing going on. Palate - medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - good though it struggles to hide the alcohol.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a cloudy amber with floating impurities and a small, white head. Subtle mango aroma, but hops are already on a downward slope. Medium-bodied, quite dry, with a solid late bitterness. Appears not so "Double", more like a straight and very dry IPA. 081216

Gylden brun klar med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lukter fersken, sydhavsfrukter og noe trevirke. Middels + i fylde. Fruktig søtlig start, ananas, sitrusskall, noe gjær. Middels bitterhet utover som ligger lenge.
