Bottle from Aldi Inverurie. It pours darkest brown to black with a small beige head. The aroma is earthy roast, toasty, umami, some sticky BBQ ribs vibes, cacao, dark chocolate drizzle and salted caramel. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, earthy roast, coffee grounds, plain chocolate, umami, sticky BBQ ribs, toothy, salted caramel, peppery spice, charred wood and a touch metallic with a dry, toasty finish. Average body and fairly high, prickly carbonation. Decent flavour to it, but let down a bit by the prickly carbonation. Would prefer to try this out on cask.
